About AI

Avalokita is an AI-powered service.

Where AI is used

• Speech recognition: a Whisper-family model (provided by Groq) transcribes the sound playing on your PC.
• Translation: large language models such as Google Gemini translate the transcript.

Labeling

The subtitles on screen and the transcripts you save are AI-generated. Files you export from the app are marked "AI translation".

Limitations

• Translations may contain mistranslations, omissions, or words that were never said.
• Names and technical terms may be wrong. Adding them to your glossary helps.
• Check important passages against the original.

Your data

Audio and translations are not stored on our servers and are not used for training. See the Privacy Policy.

Respecting rights

To publish or distribute translations of other people's lectures or teachings, you need the rights holder's permission.
